Instead of a snapshot of myself I have a photo of my favorite cowboy hat that I wear when I'm in Montana and New Mexico riding the open spaces—for a writer it's a good thing to remain anonymous.

To walk into a crowd and not be noticed creates many opportunities to engage with characters who court the edges of boundaries that place them in situations some say are compromising even perhaps illegal, engage those who are searching for something that isn't definable or easily described, precisely the ones who are not predictable in the midst of adversity or too much good fortune to place in a story into the test of circumstance with a plot orchestrating something ending yet beginning.
